So if we had stayed and made the ground 45k it wouldn't make a lot of difference in match day revenue

Another win for us Druids

I do love a sensationalist article, no matter how fictional it may be.

Causing trouble by saying we're paying £12.5m rent MORE per year than we actually are?

Yeah that'll really get people going.

It's just a SHIT article.

You could almost imagine that the Express is trying to cause mischief..... look at West Ham, taxpayer gives them a shinny new stadium and they earn £1bn!

It won't remain a secret. The published accounts will tell all.

Claret & Hugh hasn't a clue either. He's suggesting the lowest income increase per season.

Truth is, the exact increase (excluding the new lucrative TV deal) will most likely remain a secret.

However, us jumping at least two places up the revenue table next season will suggest a pretty significant increase. I'd confidently predict that this will happen.

Re: Exclusive: West Ham set for £1billion income as Olympic Stadium move begins to pay off
No-one really knows how much extra money we'll make extra per season.

It's certain that we'll be making significantly more per season than we do now - even with the sacrifices that we're to make - as this is the whole driving force behind the move. There'd practically be no real benefit in moving, otherwise.

Yet, there's an intellectually-challenged, eternally sceptical, hill-dwelling, cross-dressing, WICKERMAN-burning, hocus pocus, witchcraft PAGAN SECT that amazingly dispute this theory (fact, I should say).

Still, they'll see us jump at least two places up the revenue table next season - although they will camply sneer at this in their spiteful, scornful, bitchy way.

Good grief. Someone employs this tosser Mafham to "write"?

You can just about guarantee that any club remaining in the Prem until mid 2021 will garner INCOME of close to £1billion, given that half of that sum will be paid in TV rights related prizemoney. Add in sponsorships, ticket money, other comps prizemoney, merchandising etc and easy to see potential for £1billion, more for the most successful clubs.

But to then assert we'll have it to "play with" rather presumes we'll have zero EXPENDITURE, thus demonstrating ignorance almost beyond belief (I say almost as the Brit press these days is at it's lowest ebb). What's even more frightening is that there are people who buy these rags and unquestioningly believe what is written.
